This office will assist with operational medical appointments and providing proper paperwork for most operational screenings including AA&E, MCWIS, Sergeants/Corporals Course, Re-enlistments, Final Physicals, and Separation Physicals etc. It also offers most immunizations required for medical readiness.

We offer primary care health services. Some of these services include:
- Routine Care, like annual physical exams, separation physicals, PHAs, AD school Physicals
- Medical treatment for non-emergency or non-urgent care
- Follow-up care for ongoing medical concerns
- Preventive health care, like immunization, birth control, and STD screenings
- Patient education and counseling
Most referrals will require an appointment with your Primary Care Provider, and you may referred to the Naval Hospital or out to our community providers for some specialty services.
All PHAs are started using the Online Electronic PHA system. The directions are:
- Log into https://data.nmcphc.med.navy.mil/pha
- Register for a new account. (20 minute questionnaire)
- Complete the PHA; please make sure you answer all the appropriate questions. You have three places you have to check in order to be finished. This is where most people have issues!
a. After you have answered all the questions, you will click complete.
b. After this you will be asked to review and certify your answers; scroll down to the end of the page and click complete.
c. After certifying, you then click submit.
- Once the above is completed, you will need to schedule/request a PHA appointment.

Permanent Party has two computers in the waiting room for members to complete their online PHA, if needed.
We highly encourage the use of TRICARE Online services. Sign up at www.tricare-online.com for secure messaging, making your own appointments online, getting lab and radiology results, text message reminders about all you appointments, etc.

Mental Health Unit (MHU)

Open to all eligible beneficiaries by referral from a primary care provide
or thru self-referral. Provides acute and routine outpatient mental health support for Parris Island.
Primary service is a mental health urgent care clinic for Marine Recruits. Secondary service is to provide outpatient services to Active Duty personnel, screening and education of Drill Instructors, fitness for duty evaluations for the local Marine Corps Recruiting District, and coverage of the Licensed Independent Provider requirement of the Substance Abuse Counseling Center at Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS).

The Parris Island VTF provides an array of animal health services to include vaccinations, sick-call examinations, annual wellness examinations, health certificates for PCS or travel, microchipping, blood work, pet registration, or any animal health and care questions you may have. We are currently unable to provide any surgical or dental procedures at this time, but will in the near future. Due to our limited manpower and resources, most emergency cases are best served through a full service civilian veterinary hospital off base.
