How it Works
Come into the hospital through the main entrance (Veterans Affairs side). Check in with the contraceptive clinic located on the 3rd Deck, Medical Homeport. A member of our team will call you back, provide a screening, and send you to the lab. Female patients will be required to take a urine pregnancy test before seeing the healthcare provider. For patients requesting an IUD insertion, the healthcare providers recommend taking an over-the-counter NSAID, such as Ibuprofen, for pain relief before coming to the clinic. The clinic is on a first come, first served basis. Wait times will vary.
